My name is James Long. I'm a software engineer living in Vancouver, BC.

Recently, I've worked on payments at Remote.com, and before that as engineer #1 at unicorn Multiverse.

I like tech and product - it's important for me to understand the problem we're solving, and what success looks like. I've been a product manager in the past, it's a hard job.

I started out with C++, moved to Typescript, and now work mostly with Elixir. If you haven't heard of Elixir, don't worry, no one has.

I try to keep things simple. Minimize state, minimize side-effects.
